Brynn is a Senior in the Honors college, majoring in Neuroscience Cognitive Science with a minor in Health and Human Values, with plans of going to medical school after graduation to become a trauma surgeon. She currently works in the Arizona Human Memory Neuropsychology lab researching Alzheimer’s disease and the role of future thinking. She has been involved with many clubs and volunteer opportunities on campus and in the community. Brynn spent two weeks in Peru last Summer on a medical relief trip doing clinical volunteer work. She also has done an internship at the Jewish Community Center in Tucson, working with elderly people with various types of memory deficits. Brynn is a second degree black belt and volunteers as a self defense instructor in her spare time. This is Brynn’s third year in WIMS, and second year on the board. She is very excited and enthusiastic to be the 2018-2019 President of WIMS and is ready for a great year!
Rebecca is a nontraditional student. At the age of 25, she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Pre-Medical emphasis and minors in Astronomy and Nutrition. She has studied abroad with the Nutrition program in Italy and the Public Health program in Northern Europe. She joined WIMS the first semester of its founding and has greatly enjoyed and benefited from her involvement. She loved her experience as Representative last year getting to know members. Megan is a junior, double majoring in Biochemistry as well as Molecular and Cellular Biology in addition to pursuing a minor in Spanish. Megan plans to attend medical school after graduation. In addition to WIMS, Megan is a preceptor for MCB 181 lab and a member of the UA Quidditch team. In her free time she enjoys reading, hiking and relaxing with friends. Health Initiative Coordinator
Rose Purtell is a fourth year Nutritional Sciences major with an emphasis on pre-medical studies and a biochemistry minor. Outside of being involved with WIMS, Rose has been working on various clinical studies within the Emergency Department at UMC- Banner. She has also worked part time as a lifeguard and now as a nurses aide at the VA in Tucson. During her free time Rose enjoys getting outside as much as possible whether it be hiking or backpacking, she also avidly practices yoga. As for after graduation, Rose hopes to find a position with the Peace Corps or a NPO before applying for medical school.

Lauren is a senior at U of A majoring in Physiology with a minor in nutrition. She plans on applying to PA school after graduating. Along with WIMS, Lauren is involved in Greek life here on campus, and works at Campus Rec! She loves traveling, working out, and meeting new people. Sadie is a double major in Chemistry and Neuroscience and Cognitive Science and a double minor in Care Health and Society, and Statistics and Data Science. Outside of classes she has been a volunteer at Clinica Amistad for two years, and is an instructional manager for one of the CHEM 151 sections. Danielle is a fourth year student majoring in Nutritional Sciences as well as Molecular and Cellular Biology. Throughout the school year, she works as an intern at Banner Hospital as a Patient Experience Intern. Also, she is an active member of Alpha Epsilon Delta and Mortar Board Senior Honorary. She is planning on attending medical school after college. Outside of school, she enjoys hiking, taking photos, traveling, and running her Etsy shop.
